Procedure of an ERASMUS+ stay

First steps & application process

  1. Study the offers on the ERASMUS+ website of the Department of Psychology and the Psychology Department of the host university/ universities of interest in detail
  2. Seek advice from the Student Advisory Service (Alena Elmquist) for decision-making and clarification of questions
  3. Attend the information event (in December)
  4. Apply in the applicant portal (Mobility Online database) by 31 January. For this you need a letter of motivation and a mid-term transcript; Master's students additionally submit their Bachelor's transcript. Click here to get to the application form.   5. Applicant selection in case of too many applications to a partner university
  6. Nomination at the International Office

Before starting studying abroad

In consultation with the Bielefeld Departmental Coordinator, complete a Learning Agreement (LA) to be signed by a total of four parties:

  • The outgoing student
  • The respective departmental Erasmus coordinators of the two partner universities
  • The recognition officer, who must contractually guarantee the recognition of Bielefeld study elements for study achievements successfully completed abroad before the start of the study abroad program

Returning to Bielefeld

Submit your Transcript of Records from the host university with an "Application for Recognition" of academic achievements to the Examination Office (Ms. Hedda Schäfer).
